RealTime Backup Custom Solutions

It’s all about a Custom Backup Solution for every Client

Why be constrained to your providers data center structure when you can design your own? RealTime backup software allows you to setup your own off site data backup network and raises your comfort level to new heights. YOU can have your own data being backed up and replicated at a location of YOUR choosing.

RealTime Backup Server Software

Our backup sofware is comprised of 3 types of licenses:

1

RealTime Client Software -

A machine that has data it needs to backup has to run RealTime Software Client. This Client compresses, encrypts and backs up its data to a RealTime Backup Server. This is the software the end user would have installed on their computer (workstation, laptop or server) so they can backup all of their important data  and restore data if necessary. It supports Windows, Linux, Mac OSX & FreeBSD.

2

RealTime Backup Server –

Receives (and stores) backup data from RealTime Software installed Clients. (Workstations, file servers, laptops etc.) This software is installed on a dedicated PC or Server in order to receive and backup the compressed and encrypted client data.

3

RealTime Replication Server –

RealTime Backup servers replicate their data to this server for redundancy. This software is installed on a dedicated PC or Server in order to duplicate the backed up data of the Backup Server for safe keeping. It can act as a "main restore" point replacing a back up server in case it fails.

On-site, Off-site Backup Options:

First option would be to decide whether you would like to have your own backup server on premises.

The idea of backing up your financial & personal information to "somewhere out there" does not agree with everyone. We understand that some clients feel more secure by backing up their data locally at their office and perhaps replicating that data at a second office location or even their home. (Providing the second location has internet access)

Another reason for having your data backed up locally is based on the amount that needs to be backed up. Depending on the clients situation when dealing with terabytes for example,  it might be more cost effective to have your own Local Backup Server because any computer that is used as a RealTime Backup Server may be upgraded with a large hard drive to accomodate for the data to be backed up.

A Flexible RealTime Backup Solution

With our backup solution it is not necessary to purchase "special" equipment that might be obsolete at a later time. We offer a simple solution that may work with some of the existing hardware you already own. You can either simply contract the software as a service or you have the option of using one or two of your existing computers as dedicated backup and replication servers. Understand that although you do not have to spend "the farm" on a new system, (We can recommend one for you if you like), this is YOUR data backup we are talking about so we strongly suggest using either new computers or the ones that will be able to handle the backup task at hand.

Note: Although you do not have to use the latest power house you just puchased, consider that the older the system the higher the risk something might fail.

Configuration Options:

LocalBackup_RemoteReplication

Local Backup Server on Premises

The RealTime Backup server would be located at your office and would replicate the data off-site.
These are the options for replicating the data:

  • Off-Site Replication => Your local Backup Server would replicate data to your OWN replication server at a secondary location. (Maybe a second office, home, etc)
  • Hosted Replication => Your local Backup Server would replicate data to a hosted replication server at our data center.
  • Replication at Amazon Web Services => Your local Backup Server would replicate data to Amazon Services where you can open an account and replicate there.

RemoteBackup_RemoteReplication

Off-Site Backup at a Secondary Location

The RealTime Backup Server would be located off-site. (Maybe a second office, home, etc.) The Data would then be replicated to a secondary location of your choosing.
These are the options for replicating the data:

  • Off-Site Replication => Your off-site Backup Server would replicate data to your OWN replication server at a secondary location. (Maybe a second office, home, etc)
  • Hosted Replication => Your off-site Backup Server would replicate data to a hosted replication server at our data center.
  • Replication at Amazon Web Services => Your off-site Backup Server would replicate data to Amazon Services where you can open an account and replicate there.

Hosted Backup with Remote Replication

Hosted Backup Server

Clients who feel their data might not be "safe" by leaving it on premises because of 24x7 security concerns or do not have a secondary location for their RealTime Backup Servers might opt to backup directly to our remote backup servers. Remote backup servers replicate data for a second level of protection to a replication server at a separate location as well.

  • Your computers would backup directly to a RealTime Backup Server at our data center.
  • Your data would also be replicated at a secodary data center location.
  • No need for any hardware on clients side

Local and Remote Backup Servers replicate their data ensuring it may be directly restored from a secondary location in case the primary backup server fails.
